Vemedh organizes 2 days Bhajan Sandhya at Kheer Bhawani Temple Tumulla and Jayestha Devi Asthapan Zethyaar
Relief organization, J&K Academy of Arts Culture and Languages and Jayeshtheshwari Mata Asthapan join hands with Vemedh for this first ever effort.
Srinagar, May 31, 2023: In its extraordinary spirit of bringing the Kashmiri Pandit community closer and connecting the lost threads to homeland Kashmir, Vemedh, a registered cultural and theatre organization, organized the first ever official Bahjan Sandhya for 2 days at the pious premises of Mata Kheer Bhawani temple, Tulmulla Srinagar and Jayeshtha Devi temple Srinagar. The 2 days bhajan sandhya was a part of the Annual Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela that was flagged off by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu on 26th of May. The Bhajan Sandhya was organized in a collaborative effort with Relief Organisation J&K, J&K Academy of Arts Culture and languages, and Jayeshtheshwari Mata Asthapan Zethyaar. The first of its kind Bhajan Sandhya held on 27th May at Tulmulla was inaugurated by DC Ganderbal Sh. Shyambir. While appreciating the efforts of Vomedh in bringing forth the Kashmiri Pandit culture, DC Ganderbal assured that the district administration stands in support of all such traditional cultural activities to make yatra a success. Assuring the provision of necessary facilities to the devotees, Sh. Shaymbir appealed pilgrims for proper utilization and sensible use of the facilities already been taken care by the administration.
The second Bhajan Sandhya was held at the premise of Jayestha Mata Temple at Zethyaar Srinagar on 29th of May despite heavy rain. This sandhya was inaugurated by President Jayeshtheshwari Mata Asthapan Bharat Bhushan Bhat. While the proceedings of both days were conducted by renowned anchor Bindya Raina Tikoo, the 2 days bhajan sandhaya having traditional Kashmiri Bhajan presentations by the renowned singers of J&K including Shanti Lal Sidh, Ravi Bhan, Haseena Akhter, Nirmala Koul & Pallavi Koul, Sanam Sajjad and young singer like Lavanya Koul mesmerized hundreds of devotees of yatra present at both the places. Sh. Ashwani Pandita, nodal officer relief organization and Dr. Farooq Anwar Mirza, in-charge divisional office JKAACL Srinagar ensured all arrangements to make this dream of Vemedh a success.
