*The President Jammu and Kashmir Nationalist People’s Front Mr Shiekh Muzaffar condemns killing of  labour brothers by unknown gunmen* staged a massive protest at the heart of Srinagar, Lal Chowk

Srinagar, October 19, 2021: President Jammu and Kashmir Nationalist People’s Front Shiekh Muzaffar has expressed serious concern over spurt in civilian killings in recent days in Kashmir valley . He said people of Kashmir are in deep shock and  dumbstuck  with the  pain of cold blooded murder of two labourers in kulgam .

The spurt in senseless killings of innocent civilians was very  unfortunate , heart wrenching  and against tenants of Islam ,” Shiekh observed .With Him The local citizens of Jammu and Kashmir staged a massive protest at the heart of Srinagar, Lal Chowk, on Tuesday demanding justice for the targeted civilian killings and arrest of those responsible for it. The protesters carried banners with ”Allah invites you to the home of peace’ written on them. In the last 12 days, a total of nine civilians have lost their lives in the Union Territory which included four labourers from parts of Bihar

In a statement issued by the President while condemning senseless  killing of civilians from the last few days  , He appealed to civil society to  voice  it’s concern in strong terms against  target killing of civilians. He said enemies of  peace were hellbend to tarnish the image of secular Kashmir and  Kashmiryat by fomenting communal frenzy and  hatred .

NPF President has made a fervent appeal to the people of Jammu and Kashmir , irrespective of caste,creed , colour , religion and region , to rise to the occasion and stand like a rock to defeat nefarious designs of the enemy  of peace and brotherhood . ” He said the enemy of peace would not be allowed to vitiate our centuries  old tradition of  mutual communal understanding and unity in diversity .

He appeals to ” People, media, Government, General Public,  common man and civil societies to expose such enemies of humanity and peace.”

He said  incidents of target killings are aimed at to bring bad name to  Kashmiri majority community and to  foment communal tensions.

NPF President also termed these incidents an attempt to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in the union territory.

He  appeals to civil society, political parties irrespective of their political agenda to raise their voice against such barbaric acts.

He added his heartfelt tributes to the martyred civilians and condolences to the bereaved families.

He added that brother Labours beautify and bless flavour to Kashmir, they have no concern with politics. They are just working for the livelihood and nourishment of their families.
