RTI Activist Balvinder Joined Striking Doctors & Extended full support to their cause. .
Jammu, July 13, 2021 : Team of Dental Surgeon Association extended their warm thanks to Mr. Balvinder Singh (Renowned RTI/Social Activist) and other Civil Society members Sh Mahesh Kotwal, S Manmohan Singh for raising our issue and for extended their support to indefinite strike of dental surgeon and today for joining them at Amphalla Chowk Jammu.
It is the 23th day of indefinite strike and its very unfortunate that no one from the administration came to see the ground reality of dental surgeons.
While sharing the detail Mr Singh said as per the information received by him under RTI from Director Health Services Jammu in the years 2018 there are78 vacancies of dental surgeons lying vacant in different Districts Jammu division. This exposed the false claim of the authorities that as on date there are no vacancies of dental surgeons lying vacant.
Mr. Singh said he has already filed PIL in through J&k High court since 2018, for the filling 50% of the posts of doctors lying vacant in Jammu division including 78 posts of Dental Surgeons.
Association of Dental Surgeons stated that they are facing humiliation and step motherly treatment on hands of administration from last 13 years. – DEMANDS:
- Absorption of unemployed dental surgeon through JKPSC and other centrally sponsored schemes.
- Framing a regular policy about recruitment of Dental Surgeons every year based on the NO. of seats at UG level in JKUT.
- Separate directorate of dentistry for smooth redressal of demands and grievances.
