Jammu, November 30, 2024: Vomedh, the prominent Jammu & Kashmir-based organization dedicated to promoting art, culture, and social initiatives, announced today the appointment of Bhavna Pandita as Advisor. Pandita, a highly respected social activist and community leader, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to empowering vulnerable populations. Her addition to the Vomedh team signals a strengthened focus on social impact and community engagement.

Bhavna Pandita is the Founder and Chairperson of “ASHA – The Care Foundation,” an NGO working tirelessly to uplift impoverished communities, empower women, and provide support for the elderly. Notably, the foundation extends its support to organizations actively involved in cinema, theatre, art, music, culture, and language preservation in Jammu & Kashmir. Her leadership extends internationally as Chief Relations and Finance Officer at “Sampark Bharti,” a global organization operating in over 50 countries. She also serves as Vice President of the Kashmir Welfare Society in Vaishali, Ghaziabad.

Bhavna has worked tirelessly during Covid 19 to help the Covid patients and other deserving people who lost their jobs.

Recently Bhavna was conferred with an award for her social activities by Lieutenant Governor of J&K SH Manoj Sinha during TIFFS & JFF International Film Festival inauguration at Jammu.

A passionate advocate for health awareness, Bhavna collaborates with doctors on “The Right News” project, disseminating crucial health information. Her involvement spans a wide spectrum of social and cultural organizations, reflecting her dedication to community service.

Bhavna Pandita’s impressive academic background includes a Master’s degree in Mathematics and a B.Ed. While she began her career as a lecturer, her unwavering commitment to social service led her to dedicate the last 15 years to providing essential resources to those in need.

Her remarkable work has garnered numerous accolades, including the Women Achievement Award 2022 in Social Work from Vomedh and TRN, and the Harmony India Award for Social Work. A proud Sanatani Kashmiri, Pandita is deeply invested in preserving the cultural heritage of India, particularly within the Kashmir Valley.

Her innovative approach integrates communication science with community-based initiatives, driving her efforts to promote cultural awareness. Through workshops and competitions, she instils in younger generations a sense of pride in their heritage and fosters a spirit of national service.
