JAMMU, NOVEMBER 03, 2021: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu Manjit Singh today expressed concern over poor basic amenities in Jammu Municipal limits which is being developed as Smart City.

With reference to the suffering of people, he further said that there are increasing complaints about poor basic amenities in city residential areas falling under Jammu Municipal Corporation.

“The unfortunate situation can be gaged from the fact that the dengue cases are on rise to an unexpected level. The JMC and Health Department lack coordination in the extremely worrying situation,” he said.

He further said that “The fogging in infected residential areas in Jammu West Assembly has failed to tackle the situation as there is no control over the dengue cases. Families have been infected and the Health Department is found to have been watching the situation helplessly.”

Speaking on the occasion, Provincial President Women Wing Jammu Namrta Sharma also expressed concern over the developmental issues of Jammu, and its peripheral areas.

“The developmental works are going on at a snail pace, and the works are being initiated without any accentuality or supervision. The officials work in nexus with the contractors which needs to be exposed,” Namrta said.

Namrta further said that the LG administration should take into account the suffering of the people and hold the officials at the ground accountable for their negligence.

“The people are isolated from the Govt schemes due to the arrogance and negligence of the officials in different departments,” Namrta added.
