Panthers Party demands restoration of J&K Statehood & early Assembly elections

Jammu, July 17, 2021: The meeting of the Secretariat of J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) held online today has in a resolution demanded immediate return of Statehood of J&K State which was founded by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1846 after consolidating State of J&K including J&K, Ladakh, Gilgit & Baltistan.

Prof.Bhim Singh, President of JKNPP & Sr. Advocate of Supreme Court moved the above-mentioned resolution conveyed to the National and State media that the BJP government in Delhi has no plan to reinstate J&K with Statehood it enjoyed since 1947. He conveyed in a statement that the Panthers Party stands for restoration of Statehood of J&K without any delay and then Assembly elections so that a democratic/elected government is constituted in J&K which has been denied to J&K since its Assembly was dissolved and the State was brought under a Union Territory list in the Constitution of India. He said that this Act of the Parliament converting the State of J&K into a Union Territory was totally illegal, improper and unconstitutional and therefore the residents of J&K have been demanding return of an elected government and return of Statehood.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that he is constituting a mobile team of the senior leadership of Panthers Party who shall move around the State of J&K and he (Bhim Singh) himself shall accompany the team from Poonch to Kishtwar to Kathua, Billawar, Bani, Basholi and Poonch to Ramban and then shall move to the Valley of Kashmir next month. The message shall be clear ‘Haq and Insaaf’, Ekta (Unity), Bhaichara (Secularism), Aman (Peace) and Justice’ for all.
