PAGD formed to fight for restoration of article 370, Sajad lone’s resignation won’t affect our motive in any way: Muzzafar Shah 

Srinagar, January 20, 2021: Awami National Conference (ANC) senior vice-president Muzaffar Shah on Wednesday claimed that PAGD has been formed for a major cause that is restoration of special status of J&K and election and other things are very minor.

Speaking with media in summer capital Srinagar, ANC leader said that PAGD will not succumb before the pressure tactics employed by New Delhi and resignation of Sajad lone won’t deter us from fighting for the special status of J&K.

He said that Sajad is like our brother, however, he should have taken the issues before apex committee before taking any decision and I was him best of luck ahead, however, his resignation won’t have any affect on PAGD and PAGD is more stronger than it was in the beginning.

He said that pressure tactics employed by New Delhi including using of Enforcement Directorate, NIA etc failed to bow PAGD, however such tactics made the Alliance enough strong to challenge BJP’s anti-J&K ploys and we don’t succumb to any pressure as we have seen jails and other things as well

He said that we always warm heartedly welcome delegation but they never did anything for the welfare of J&K.

They come here, go to Pahalgam and Gulmarg and enjoy with wazwan but they didn’t anything which would have given any sigh of relief.

I have met 10 delegations so far but nothing was done on ground whatever demands were put forward before them.

He said that if they are going to attract tourists Kashmir, it is welcome step, however, before restoring tourism they must take cognizance why Kashmiri youth are killed in staged encounters. (PTK)
