Madan Lal Chalotra urges JMC to release pending salary of Safai Karamcharies
JAMMU, JUNE 03, 2021: Madan Lal Chalotra, OBC State Coordinator, Apni Party today urged Jammu Municipal Corporation to release the pending salary of all the Safai Karamcharies.
Extending his support to the Safai Karamcharies, Chalotra said the salary of several months is pending which should be released without further delay by the JMC authorities.
He said that these Safai Karamcharies should be given at par with the Union Territories of the country i.e., Rs 18, 500 per month.
He expressed his surprise that the Safai Karamcharies are being given Rs 6000 per month which is an insufficient amount and there is dire need to enhance the monthly wages.
Chalotra said that these Safai Karamcharies have been working in the Corporation for the last several decades and they still await their regularization.
“We have come to know that JMC has not released the salary of Safai Karamcharies who took part in the protest in support of their demands. Such Safai Karamcharies have been marked absent from the work,” he alleged and demanded that the salary of all the Safai Karamcharies should be released.
Recently, Madan Lal Chalotra alongwith Rupali Rani, senior leader women wing had also participated in the protest demonstration of Safai Karamcharies of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
