LAHDC Leh formally named Old Road Leh to P Namgyal Road

Leh, October 29, 2021: The existing Old Road Leh has been formally named after the former Union Minister of State, late Shri P Namgyal by the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh during a symbolic ceremony today in Leh.

The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Executive Councillors, Councillors, former CECs, former State Cabinet Ministers, political leaders, family members, and the relatives of late P Namgyal attended the event.

Speaking during the occasion, CEC Gyalson and MP JTN highlighted the contributions of late P Namgyal to the entire Ladakh society and stated that dedicating the road in his name will be a tribute from the Hill Council to him.

CEC Gyalson directed DC Leh to mention the renamed road, i.e. P Namgyal Road, in the referenced official documents today onwards.
