ICICI Foundation sets up milk processing unit at Panchayat Palli

Jammu, January 10, 2023: Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Samba, Rahul Dev and block Programme Manager Seema Sharma and palli village Sarpanch Randhir Kumar have jointly inaugurated a state-of-the-art milk processing unit at village Palli, which is set by ICICI Foundation under Project Manager, Binni Thakur, BDO Parvinder Singh and CF Balwan Singh to offer fair and competitive prices to farmers.

ICICI Foundation  contributed 75 per cent of the total cast of the Milk processing unit.It provides unit machinery like Deep freezer, milk and Khoya making machine, milk analyzing machine, weight machine and solar panel to women group with 75 per cent subsidy. 25 percent of contribution was made by the women group of Gurwal village.

The Milk Processing Unit is named as ‘  Umeed Pehchan Group ‘.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Samba, Rahul Dev pointed out that the milk unit would pave the way for economic prosperity of local women.

“The processing unit would ensure fair prices to the rural farmers and boost their income,” he added.
