Historical G20 meeting in Jammu and Kashmir

India is in fact making history by proposing the holding of historical event of G20 meeting in Kashmir and the people of Jammu and Kashmir should feel privileged and elated that such an epoch making event is going to be held in Kashmir from May 22 to May 24 and the UT is preparing in a big way to host the event and take the benefit of the G20 meeting.

The government of India which holds the prestigious presidency of the G20 is going to hold a tourism and youth related meeting in Kashmir and Ladakh union territories respectively. G20 in fact and rightly has become a buzz word in the  Jammu Kashmiris political ,social ,cultural ,technological lexicon and the proposed meeting of G20 has assumed much and due importance .

The people of India in general and the residents of Jammu and Kashmir are anxiously waiting for the G20 meeting as it has got much significance for the people of this part of the country .

The G20 is the great opportunity for the J&K people to showcase the rich and vibrant culture ,tradition and composite living ethos of the UT .The LG Manoj Sinha has rightly said that it is the historic event of the people and so all the people should take pride in it and support this big event having far reaching bearing and international implication. 

The G20 meeting will give much impetus and boost to the tourist economy and will take tourism to the international level and with this stride the people of Jammu and Kashmir will be benefitted greatly and therefore the people of Jammu and Kashmir and its government are attaching much importance to this historical event which is going to showcase the tourism potential at the global level and also raise tourism at the international map .

At the political level the proposed G20 summit will give strength to the view point of India so far as the issue of Kashmir is concerned and the standing and position of India will be accepted internationally and the objection of Pakistan to holding the crucial G20 meeting in Jammu and Kashmir have no takers in the world and that country will get further isolated at the global level as there are no takers of the Pakistan globally so far as the issue and to put it appropriately as non issue of Kashmir is concerned .

Vasudav Kutumbkum is the over-riding doctrine of India’s G20 presidency and the theme of one family ,one earth and one world are the extensions of the one world family theme as propounded by India .The people of Jammu and Kashmir are by and large welcoming this historical meet  and there is enthusiasm among the residents of Jammu and Kashmir .

The G20 meeting will give boost not only to tourist industry but will develop the overall economy of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir .The G20 meeting in fact will give impetus to the investment culture in Jammu and Kashmir and the people of Jammu and Kashmir will be benefitted .

The unemployment problem with which the UT is grappling and which is a big problem of Jammu and Kashmir will to a great extent be addressed by the conducting the G20 meeting .The educated, skilled ,semi –skilled and unskilled labors will get employment opportunities and that the monster of unemployment and joblessness will be solved to a certain extent .

Therefore there is need for this historical event and the people should not get mislead by false notions of the selfish and cunning politicians who are opposing the proposed meeting of group 20 countries .Some political leaders say and comment that why the G20 meeting is proposed to be held in Kashmir and not Jammu .

These redundant political leaders should understand that GOI as the presidency of G20 is free to hold the meeting in any art of the country and therefore instead of raising baseless objections and criticizing the holding the G20 meeting should feel privileged to have the G20 meeting conducted in Kashmir .

All eyes of the world are set on the holding G20 meeting in Kashmir and therefore the people and the political parties  as well as the traditional politicians should see the reality and give their support to the great event which is going to alter the biased notion about Kashmir .The G20 will in fact will give strength to the standing and position of India viz a viz Kashmir and Pakistan which is the epicenter of terrorism will naturally be sidelined .

There is uneasiness in Pakistani leaders and its foreign minister has raised baseless and futile objection to the proposed G20 meeting in Kashmir ,but India’s EAM has rightly rebuked Pakistan and has reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir is the inalienable part and parcel of India and thus she can hold the G20 meeting in any part of the country.

The people of Jammu and Kashmir should feel privileged enough that such a crucial meeting about tourism is going to be held in various parts of Kashmir including the summer capital Srinagar and famous tourist spot Gulmarg and at some other place .The G20 meeting will also give expression to the principle and doctrine of Vasudav Kutumbkum and reflect this Upanishad’s principle so that much needed peace  will prevail in the world which stands torn by the conflicts and the threat of world war .

In such a scenario the G20 is the only forum which is not leaving any stone unturned to ensure lasting peace, goodwill and prosperity  and development in the world .The Srinagar city is being face lifted and is being decorated and beautified for the crucial G20 meet .The G20 meeting will not only showcase the beauty and great tourism potential of Jammu and Kashmir but will give boost to the handicrafts ,handloom products and papier-mâché of this part of the country so that our traditional handicrafts will find good market in the world .

Therefore the politicians more so traditional political parties should rise above selfish politics and provide a helping hand to the government so that this crucial and historical event will be a success .

Thus besides furthering the cause of one world family in accordance with India’s cultural and spiritual values ,the G20 meeting will improve the economy ,tourism and handicrafts as well as boost foreign investment in Kashmir and this is really a big thing for the UT .

Let G20 meeting ensure peace ,boost economy and investment in Jammu and Kashmir and at the same time further the doctrine and theme of one family ,one earth and one humanity in the world to put it in the terminology of PM Narendra Modi.

May G20 summit be a success and further the theme and overriding principle of Vasudav Kutumbakum in which lies the peace and good of humanity.
