Harmony Foundation Announces 11th India Awards, Launches “Saaz-o-Sukhan” Musical Series

Vijay Dhar, Amitabh Mattoo Among Honorees for Prestigious Cultural Awards in Jammu & Kashmir

Jammu, October 1, 2025 – The Harmony Cultural Foundation today announced the recipients for its 11th Harmony India Awards and the launch of a new cultural initiative, “Saaz-o-Sukhan.” The prestigious awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Abhinav Theatre in Jammu, celebrating luminaries from music, literature, education, and social activism.

Building on a decade of honoring over a hundred distinguished individuals, this year’s event will also debut Saaz-o-Sukhan. The foundation describes the new initiative as a soulful musical series designed to weave together the timeless beauty of poetry (Sukhan) and music (Saaz). The series aims to create a global cultural dialogue that showcases the richness of Kashmiri traditions while embracing universal artistic expressions.

“The Harmony India Awards have always been about celebrating talent and fostering cultural pride,” said Founder Saurabh Zadoo. “With the launch of Saaz-o-Sukhan, we are taking a step forward in connecting hearts through music and poetry, creating a platform where tradition meets innovation.”

The evening will feature mesmerizing musical performances, poetic recitations, and the felicitation of this year’s awardees, who were selected by a jury council comprising Ms. Nirupama Kotru, Prof. Sudhir K. Sopori, Sh. Veer Munshi, Sh. Krishen Ji Langoo, and Sh. Ravinder Kaul.

The distinguished list of 2025 honorees includes:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Sh. Vijay Dhar

  • Yogini Mata Laleshwari “Lalded” Samman: Prof. Sh. Amitabh Mattoo

  • Pt. Bhajan Sopori Smriti Samman: Sh. Romalo Ram

  • Women Achievers Award: Dr. Deepali Wattal

  • Shrestha Samman: Sh. Khalid Hussain, Sh. Brij Nath Pandit Betab, Sh. Ramesh Hangloo, Prof. B. L. Zutshi, Sh. Kaka Ji Safaya, Dr. Milan Sharma

  • Special Award: Sh. B. L. Kaul Deep

  • State Icon Awards: Sh. Pradeep Dutta, Smt. Ashma Koul, Sh. Rakesh Anand

  • Community Icon Awards: Dr. Sushil Wattal, Sh. Pintoo Ji Pandita

  • Yuva Puraskar: Sh. Anil Koul Chingari
