Handloom Department Kargil issues notice for selection of candidates for admission to 3 Year Diploma Programme in Handloom and Textile Technology
KARGIL, JUNE, 24, 2021: The Department of Handloom Kargil through a notice issued today informed that the Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, Indian Institute of Handloom Technology Chowkaghat Varanasi is going to impart 3 Years Diploma Programme in Handloom and Textile Technology (3 Years of 6 Semesters) for the academic session 2021-2022.
The application forms can be obtained from the office of the District Superintendent, Handloom Development Department, Kargil during office hours.
The candidate should have passed 10th standard or equivalent examination with English as a subject of study and the age for admission of the candidate should be between 15-23 years and for SC/ST candidates, age should be between 15-25 years on 01-07-2021, the notice reads.
The notice further reads that during the course, the student will be paid Rs 1000/- per month in 1st year (1st and 2nd Semester), Rs 1100/- per month in 2nd year (3rd and 4th Semester) and Rs 1200/- per month in 3rd year (5th & 6th Semester) for the duration of the course (tenable for 10 months from July to April).
Last date for submission of forms is 2nd July, 2021.
