GDC Nubra organises one day Intellectual Property awareness programme

Leh, July 19, 2022: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Government Degree College, Nubra in collaboration with the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India organised a one day Intellectual Property Awareness Programme today.

The speakers Vipin Kumar and Prashant Singh delivered their lectures on different types of Intellectual Property sensitising students on the concept of intellectual property. The speakers gave information on various forms of intellectual property applicable to different forms of inventions and designs.

Vipin Kumar gave introduction to all types of forms needed for filing patents, copyrights, designs and trademarks and briefed the students on the process involved in filing these forms as well as on the fees structure for natural and non-natural applicants.

Prashant Singh gave information on trademarks and logos giving a number of local examples to make the session interesting. He also organised quizzes for the students to seek active participation. At last they took questions from the audience.

Around 40 participants including students and faculty members of the college took part in the awareness programme.
