“Galat Vyakaran” Stirred Emotions at Dogri Rangutsav – Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch Wins Hearts

Emotional Rollercoaster and a Stirring Reminder of Forgotten Heroes Captivate Jammu Audience

Jammu, July 7, 2025: Abhinav Theatre in Jammu resonated with laughter, tears, and profound introspection as Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch staged the poignant Dogri play “Galat Vyakaran” on the third day of the ongoing Dogri Rangutsav. Organized by Samooh Theatre with valuable support from the Senior Citizens Support Club, Jammu, this powerful production captivated the audience with its raw emotional honesty and deep-rooted cultural relevance.

Written by the acclaimed Kumar A. Bharti and skilfully designed and directed by Mohit Singh Chib, “Galat Vyakaran” peeled back the layers of a middle-class family’s life, exploring the intricate dynamics of relationships, navigating internal conflicts, and, most significantly, shining a light on the slowly fading legacy of Duggar’s often-forgotten heroes – the bravehearts whose statues dot the city landscape, yet whose inspiring stories have become unfamiliar to the younger generation.

The heart of the play, however, beat strongest through the performance of Janak Khajuria as “Babu Ji.” His portrayal was nothing short of mesmerizing, delivering an emotionally rich performance that resonated deeply with everyone present. Khajuria effortlessly embodied the complexities of his character, drawing the audience completely into his world and leaving many visibly moved, their eyes welling up with tears as he commanded the stage. He truly stole the show, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of the viewers.

The compelling narrative was brought to life by a dedicated cast including Janak Khajuria as Babu Ji, Pardeep Sharma as Sunil, Sheetal Sharma as Sheetal, Ankit Sharma as Vivek, Saksham Chib as Nika, and Disha as Nelu, each contributing significantly to the play’s realism and emotional depth.

Behind the scenes, a talented technical team ensured a seamless production: Sanju and Vivek Sangotra managed the hall, Mohit Singh Chib created the evocative music, Sandeep Verma handled the lighting design, Sheetal and Pardeep took charge of costumes, Saksham and Mohit collaborated on the set design, Vivek Sangotra managed the make-up, and Ankit Sharma oversaw the properties.

“Galat Vyakaran” proved to be a rare theatrical experience, masterfully blending moments of genuine humour with profound sadness. It took the audience on an emotional rollercoaster, leaving them laughing one moment and wiping away tears the next, culminating in a collective moment of reflection. Ultimately, the play served as a poignant reminder that while language can sometimes be incorrect, the truth and power of human emotions are always universal and unwavering.
