Free Medical Camp Held in Zanskar by the Doctors of AIIMS of Delhi

Zanskar, July 24, 2021: Free Medical Camp by team of super Specialist and Specialist Doctors from (AIIMS) All India Institute of Medical Science Delhi held at (CHC) Community Health Centre Padum in collaboration with Ashoka Mission New Delhi today. The team of Doctors arrived at civil Helipad Padum this morning in two

sorties of Pawan Hans MI-17 helicopter, where acting Sub Divisional Magistrate Zanskar Sh.Tsering Nurboo, Block Medical Officer Zanskar Dr. Stanzin Namgail, Sarpanch Ufti Pipiting Mrs.Lobzang Dolma and Local Ama Tsogspa present warm and colorful receptions. More than thousands of patients registered their name

for consultation with the Doctors of AllMS. Consulting/Checkup process is in full swing and will be continuing tomorrow evening.

The team comprising of super Specialist and Specialist Doctors of Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Gastroenterological, Cancer Oncology, Anesthesiology and palliative Medicine, Neurosurgery, Gynecologist and General Medicines. Two more Specialist Doctors of Endocrinology and Orthopedics are on their way to Zanskar by road and shall be reaching to on Padum this evening.

On behalf of administration the acting SDM Zanskar express his gratitude to the team of Doctors and General secretary Ashoka Mission New Delhi, Mr.Tashi Motup Kau for conducting such Medical Camp in this remotest Area of Ladakh, usually the poor peoples of this region have to travel to Kargil/Leh for their treatment in a harsh conditions.
