Fake appointment orders; CB Jammu Charge- sheets accused for forgery, impersonation and cheating.
Jammu, April 23, 2021: Crime Branch Jammu produced charge-sheet against accused viz 1) Brighu Nandan Sharma S/O late Vijay Sharma R/o Nanak Nagar Jammu (2) Sagar Kumar S/O Raj Kumar R/O Chak Jaralian, Tehsil- Bishnah (Now Expired) and (3) Pallav Gupta S/O Romesh Chander Gupta, R/O H.No. 12, Lane No. 27, Rajpura, Jammu in case FIR No.09/2020 419, 420, 465, 468, 471, 120-B IPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu for their involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy in fabricating fake appointment orders for the post of Junior Engineers in Power Development Department against Sports Quota by way of impersonation. Charge-sheet has been produced before the Ld. Special Judge in the Hon’ble Court of Passenger Tax, Jammu for judicial determination.
A written communication was received at Crime Hqrs. J&K, Jammu from Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir General Administration Department wherein Sh. Riaz Ahmed Wani, KAS Deputy Secretary to Govt. had requested for investigation in fake appointment orders for the post of Junior Engineer under Sports quota in Power Development Department. The communication referred Chief Engineer (Transmission) Jammu and Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (JKPTCL) Jammu letter, seeking confirmation/ genuineness in respect of above contentious Govt. Order No. 611-GAD of 2017 dated 18.05.2017 and Govt. order No. 708 GAD of 2018 dated 26.04.2018 purported to have been issued by the General Administration Department, turned out to be fake, as the actual orders on verification were found pertaining to the nomination of members of the J&K State Advisory Board for development of Gujjar & Bakerwals and compassionate appointment of Mr. Altaf Ahmed Ganai S/o Late Abdul Ahad Ganai Ex-Chowkidar R/o Khag, Tehsil -Khag, District -Budgam under SRO 43 of 1994 dated 22.04.1994.
On receipt of the communication and verification report, the instant criminal case was registered in Crime Branch Jammu for in-depth investigation. During the course of investigation, the scrutiny of fake appointment orders was carried out and documentary, oral, scientific, circumstantial and other material evidence was collected. In order to establish the authorship of these fake appointment orders, the Specimen Signatures / Hand writings of the prime accused Brighu Nandan Sharma who had supplied these orders to victim/ accused were taken before Executive Magistrate 1st Class Jammu and sent to Director FSL Jammu for expert opinion, which further established offences against the accused. It has also surfaced during investigation that accused Brighu Nandan Sharma is a notorious criminal who is also involved in case FIR No. 10/2020 P/S Crime Branch Jammu for fabricating another fake appointment order.
