EK NYI SHURUWAT was organised today by Param Football Club and Udhampur City FC at Isle of Ball football turf.

Kathua, July 17, 2022: The 7v7 Women’s League Football Tournament was inaugurated by Ret. Director Sports, Sh. Ashok Kumar. A total of 5 teams participated in the event from districts of Jammu, Kathua and Udhampur involving atleast 40 girls.

As the name suggests, Aadya stands for a new beginning and depicts women empowerment therefore with this initiative Param and Udhampur clubs have kick started this new journey towards development of women’s football in Jammu province.

JKSC Sr. Football Coach Sh Iqbal Singh, hosts Isle of Ball owner, Ajay Vaid and JKSC Coach Satpal Singh were guests of honor for the tournament.

Param FC won the league tournament winning all their matches with Shakti FC securing the Runner’s up position with just one defeat in the tournament.

Event was closed by Hon’ble Chief Guest Deputy Mayor Jammu, Adv. Purnima Sharma who awarded the winning and runner’s up teams. She also presented Award of Appreciation to Miss Nitika Thapa, Miss Sakshi Bandral, Sh. Iqbal Singh and Mr. Sanjeev Jasrotia for their effort towards coaching women footballers in Jammu and other parts of country.

A team of veteran national players, Legends FC were also honoured by the Deputy Mayor.

Players were provides refreshments and lunch during the course of the event by the organisers.

Sh. Rakesh Khanna, President- Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Football Club was the co-sponsor of the tournament.

Sh. Satnam Singh and Sh. Dil Bahadur Gurung were organising secretaries for the event. Aman Sudan and Nitika Thapa were the match officials for the event.

Param FC and Udhampur will take more such initiatives in the future to develop both men’s and women’s football in Jammu province.
