Central Bureau of Communication concludes its 2-day Outreach Campaign at Doda
The 2 day outreach program namely Mini (Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme) ICOP organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India concluded at Doda.
The programme aimed to create mass awareness about the Prime Minister’s 15 point programme for minorities under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) was organized by CBC’s Field Office Doda, Near Sports stadium
Doda, January 11,2023: The 2 day outreach program namely Mini (Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme) ICOP organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India concluded at Doda.
Sh Tahir Jameel, Trustee Ekta Mahila Mandal Educational Trust was the chief guest on the occasion In his address Tahir Jameel appreciated CBC for organising the outreach programmes in the district especially in coordination with Ekta Mahila Mandal Educational Trust (EMMET) to cater the young population. He said that in the present age, information is a very powerful tool for empowering masses and there is a need to reachout to the people living in the rural areas. He impressed upon the people to avail benefits of different welfare programs being implemented across various sectors by Government of India as well as JK administration. He mentioned various subsidy schemes being run by the Government of India for the benefit of the people.
Large numbers of students from different educational institutions and local people participated in the program and got information from the schemes projected through Seminar & cultural programmes followed by a pre – Publicity event i.e. drawing competition on 10.01.2023 in Doda.
Welcoming the guests Sh Vikram Uppal, Incharge CBC, Field Office, Doda, said that the onus to avail benefits of the government schemes lies with the citizens. He said that a joint effort by the policy makers, communicators, citizens as well as those responsible for the implementation at the ground level is needed to ensure the welfare schemes serve the intended purposes. He said under PMs 15 point programme for minorities, special attention is given to the states and UTs where a substantial minority population is present. He further said that Governments of India has various schemes for and individual which one can avail right from pre-natal stage to death. He Expressed gratitude towards coordinating departments and for their cooperation and support. Further he advised the students to avail benefits of Govt. schemes and earn besides studies to become Atamnirbhar (self reliant). He urged the students to spread the message up to their respective areas.
Others who spoke on the occasion among others include Sh. Farid Ahmed and Shamim Akhter from district social welfare department as resource person for expert lecture on the concerned theme AKAM.
Sh Athar Bilal Trustee EMMET coordinated in conduct of two days programme while Sh. Sunil Kumar I/c CBC, Field Office, Rajouri presented vote of thanks to all the dignities and people who participated in the programme.
Theme based cultural programmes were also presented by cultural troupe M/s Nagani cultural troupe, Doda, sending across messages about various welfare schemes as well as Students also displayed their talents by participating in seminar and deliver relevant speeches on “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” later the programme was concluded with prize distribution among the participants of Drawing competition and Seminar.
