CB Jammu produced charge-sheet against accused for seeking Govt. Job by impersonation.
Jammu, April 4, 2021: Crime Branch Jammu produced charge-sheet against accused- Shakti Bandhu S/O Late Sh. Jia Lal Bhat R/O Achhan Distt. Pulwama A/P Poni Chack Jammu in the Hon’ble Court of law in case FIR No. 14/2020 419,420/RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu for his involvement in procuring Govt. Job in the Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development Department (IMPARD) for himself by way of impersonation and thereby cheating the Govt. The Charge-sheet was produced in the Hon’ble Court of Passenger Tax Jammu, for judicial determination.
A written communication was received in Crime Branch Jammu from Joint Director J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development Regional Centre Jammu along with an enquiry report and a written complaint lodged by the complainant, alleging therein that one Ashok Kumar S/O Late Sh. Jai Lal R/O Acchan Pulwama is a cheater who cheated Govt. of J&K by providing certificates of his dead younger brother to get himself a job in Institute of Management & Public Administration (IMPA Deptt.) for himself. The complainant further alleged that the accused was working in IMPA Deptt. from last 30 years (Approx.) in the name of Ashok Kumar who actually is Mr. Kaka Ji as nick name in home/village and Shakti Bandhoo in school records and certificate in the High School Acchan, Pulwama. The accused even has not passed 9th class. That in the year 1978 his younger brother Ashok Kumar died due to accident when he was studying in BA 2nd year in Co-Education College Anantnag Kashmir and after passing some years Shakti Bandho @ Kaka Ji (accused) got Govt. job in the institute of Management & Public Administration (IMPA Deptt.) in connivance with some Government officials by providing certificates of his dead younger brother – deceased Ashok Kumar.
Crime Branch initiated criminal proceedings against the accused on the basis of the omissions and commissions made out during the enquiry, which prima facie, constitute offences punishable U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC. Accordingly, a formal case was registered in P/S Crime Branch, Jammu against the above mentioned accused for in-depth investigation. During the course of investigation relevant record from the office of IMPARD Jammu was seized, statements of prosecution witnesses were recorded, record from JKBOSE Bemina Srinagar, Govt. Higher secondary school Acchan, Govt. Boys primary school Acchan and record from Chowkidar of village Acchan was also seized which has established that accused Shakti Bandoo had used the testimonials/qualification certificates of his deceased brother who died on 8th June 1977 by drowning due to epilepsy fit after the death of Ashok Kumar his elder brother accused Shakti Bandoo in order to get the job in IMPARD department by way of cheating by impersonation and causing wrongful loss to the Government and wrongful gain to himself.
