BJP leader Sumit Sharma calls on Principal GMC, discusses upcoming preparation of 3rd phase of Covid -19

Jammu, June 07, 2021: Sumit Sharma BJP leader and State Co Convenor Sanskritik Cell along with Sunil Singh IHRO Sec JKUT meets Principal & Dean Government Medical  College and Associated Hospitals , Dr Shashi Sudan Sharma.

Sumit Sharma discussed various issues regarding Pandemic Corona, shortage of Senior staff in hospital, availability of beds with ventilators and most important question from Sumit Sharma to principal was how much GMC and health system prepare for third stain of Corona.

Principal GMC Dr Shashi Sudan has urged the public to cooperate with the health system amidst the rising challenge of Covid 19.The pandemic has come as an unprecedented and unforeseen challenge for all of us and especially the health fraternity. The prime need is to build the trust between the public and the health system ,the GMC Principal said now the increasing rate of Covid patients in Jammu division  were very less but when the the number of Covid -19 patients  were increased ,the administration was also ramped up facilities, equipment, infrastructure besides increasing the number of frontline workers .Our health workers were  worked round the clock working and even yet working too and we are always trying our best to serve the public. Dr Shashi said that the senior staff staying in the middle of covid patients for 5-6 hours to look after and treat them wearing ppt kit. She said all the Senior Staff is in the GMCH and provide their services.

Dr Shashi told that we are ready to manage and handle the situation for upcoming 3 stage of Covid-19 we have improve the bed capacities and ventilators .We know what we are doing right now, we have prepared the road map ahead and I on behalf of the whole staff of GMC& H Jammu can assure the people that with  their support we can fight these new strains and their third wave .Besides this, we have made sudden changes in our daily routine works, more associated Hospitals are being impaneled for surgeries and other purposes.

Sumit Sharma asked Principal Dr Shashi to provide every facilities to the patient so that they can get back their faith in GMC. Dr Shashi said that our team is engaged in the patients service day and night that’s why today the patients of private hospitals are also coming to GMC hospital.

Principal Dr Shashi Sudan also appealed to a the NGO’s  if they want  to register with us they can come and give their volunteers to us, so that we all together get rid of this pandemic .In the end she appealed to all public  wear mask ,use sanitizers and soap to wash hands properly eat healthy food to maintain our immunity and avoid gathering too.
