Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch Stages “Park” Play in Jammu
A Struggle for Identity Unfolds on a Park Bench
Jammu, September 09, 2025: Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch staged the play “Park” on Tuesday at Natraj Natya Kunj Studio, designed and directed by Mohit Singh Chib. Written by noted playwright Manav Kaul, the play received an overwhelming response from the audience.
The production offered a unique blend of humor and depth. The story begins with three men quarrelling over a bench in a park. What starts as a light-hearted, comic squabble gradually evolves into a powerful commentary on personal space, belonging, and identity.
The performances were compelling: Sakhsham Chib as Hussain, Mohit Singh Chib as Uday, Manoj Lal Bhagat as Nawaz, and Rakesh Kumar as Madan. The backstage team enriched the play with their creativity — set design by Sakhsham and Mohit Singh Chib, costumes by Rakesh Kumar, and lighting by Rishabh, which added a dynamic layer to the performance.
“Park” not only entertained the audience with humor but also left them reflecting on deeper human struggles. The conflict over a simple bench symbolized the broader quest for personal space and identity. Both spectators and critics lauded the symbolic storytelling and relatable message of the play.
“We will certainly repeat this play so that more people can witness this entertaining yet meaningful story”; Director Mohit Singh Chib remarked.
