A Mock drill / Demonstration on Disaster Management was conducted by SDRF at Yatri Niwas
Jammu, July 17, 2022: A Mock Drill Exercise/Demonstration on Disaster Management has been conducted by SDRF 2 nd Bn. Jammu at Base Camp Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar Jammu under the supervision of Smt. Nisha Nathyal-IPS, Commandant SDRF 2 nd Bn. Jammu. Sh. Vijay Kumar Sharma, JKAS, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jammu and Sh. Kulveer Handa, SP, City North Jammu were the overall in charge of the Mock Drill.
A SDRF team comprising of 16 personnel under the close supervision of Sh. Mohinder Paul, Dy.SP, SDRF 2 nd Bn. Jammu was deputed from the Bn. Hqrs. Jammu for participation. During the Mock Drill/demonstration following teams from different departments/units are also participated:-
1. CRPF Jammu
2. Fire & Emergency Services Jammu
3. District/Armed/Traffic Police
4. Security Jammu
5. Medical department Jammu
6. Civil Defence Wardens/Volunteers
7. Municipal Corporation Jammu
A successful Mock exercise/demonstration on Disaster Management as well as Mountaineering Rescue Techniques (MRTs) was conducted by the above mentioned teams in order to meet any eventuality during Disaster.
