Rajouri, May 31, 2021: GDC Thannamandi Rajouri under the theme Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava observed the World No Tobacco Day.
The event was organized by the Department of Zoology under the patron ship of Dr.Javaid.A.Qazi, Principal of the college.
The event was coordinated by prof. Raheela Mushtaq, Head Department of Zoology.
Dr.Tahir Hussain Shah, Lecturer, Department of Zoology was the organizing secretary on the occasion.
The event included a pledge taking ceremony and an awareness lecture by Prof. (Retd.) Mangat Ram Sharma.
All the staff members and almost all the students’ participated in the event. Prof sharma explained the various forms of tobacco addictions their causes and ill effects.
He also deliberated upon the ways in which the parents can look after the various habits of their children and the ways in which they can prevent their children to fall prey to these activities.
Dr Javaid.A.Qazi, Principal of the college congratulated the department of zoology for conducting the awareness programme and stressed upon the staff and to keep their lives and campus tobacco free.
The formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr.Tahir Hussain Shah.
