Apni Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra raises concern over the rising COVID-19 cases across J&K

The administration must take prerequisite measures to halt the spread

Jammu, April 18, 2021: Apni Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra on Sunday raised serious concerns over the rapid spread of COVID-19 cases across J&K alongwith a considerable rise in COVID mortality rates.
He urged the UT government to take all necessary measures in order to contain it’s spread and implement the life saving SOP’s strictly.
“The new COVID-19 wave is extremely dangerous. There have been considerable rises in the infected and death cases all around J&K. The Government must ensure that all SOP’s are followed in letter & spirit in order to avoid the situation getting further worse,” he said.
He was speaking on the sidelines of a joining ceremony in which various prominent SC political activists joined Apni Party at Jammu.
The new entrants who joined the party included: Naresh Kumar Panotra, Kalu Ram, Prem Chand, Om Parkash, Ashok Kumar, Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, Gara Lal, Ramesh Kumar, Sansar Chand and Pawan Kumar Ashwani Kumar.
Besides General Secretary, Apni Trade Union President Ajaz Kazmi, Party Leaders Vijay Magotra, Raj Kumar Sharma and Sanjay Kumar were also present on the occasion.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party-fold, Vikram Malhotra said that people in Jammu and Kashmir are facing immense problems in absence of a democratically elected government.
“The people have immense problems that need to be addressed on prompt basis in order to mitigate their sufferings. However, in absence a representative form of government, people have been forced to move from pillar to post for the redressal of their genuine grievances,” he asserted.
He said that Apni Party has always given importance to the issues faced by various scheduled and backward communities in J&K in which SC is also included.
“Our efforts are to solve the problems faced by such communities and also work for their welfare so that it embodies our vision of an equitable development that is all inclusive for all the citizens of J&K irrespective of their religion, caste, gender or background,” he said.
Furthermore, he impressed upon the new entrants to diligently work for the welfare of the people in their respective areas.
The new entrants thanked the party leadership for providing them with a dependable political platform and also avowed to strengthen the Party at grassroots level.
