JKBWA celebrates 39th Foundation Day of of its youth body

Jammu, March 16, 2021: Amid ecstatic fervour and enthusiasm, the J&K Batwal Welfare Association (JKBWA) celebrated the 39th foundation day of its youth body namely- Batwal Youth Development Committee (Registered) by organising an impressive function at Village Sohanjana (housed in Tawi Island).

The programme commenced with distributing sweets among the participants.

It was mentioned that in 1983, a thought flashed across the productive eyes of some Batwal Community youths who met at Krishna Nagar, Jammu. R.L.Kaith quoted a thought “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress and working together is success”. Thought merged, formed seeds – when Batwal Youth Development Committee was sprouted. The journey of this Committee started with the intention of working non-profitably for various social causes of the Batwal community members. Attending the function, the founder R.L.Kaith cited the achievements and good work done by the Commiittee members in the last 38 years.

Dr Ramesh Kumar Kaith said the actual success of Committee was the achievement of its members who remained on call 24 hours a day the year round.

Dr Kaith also spoke on drug menace. He said, drug abuse is a serious issue affecting the youth of the community. As the time goes by and addiction takes root, it causes various personality disorders and serious psychological behavioural problem. Drug dependency pushes the youth to loose their self esteem and make. He advised the youth to refrain from it.

Sarpanch Jyoti Motan appreciated the relentless efforts of Committee members and emphasised on spread of literace in the community. She said, lierace plays a vital role in transforming students into socially engaged citizens. Being able to read and write means being able to keep up with current events, communicate effectively and understand the issues that are shaping the world.

The umbrella body also felicitated the youth on the occasion.

The function concluded with the National Anthem and serving community lunch to all participants.

Bua Ditta Kaith, Tara Chand Motan, Hans Raj Bahadur Loria, Gurdas Chand Sargotra, Tilak Raj Bassa, Tarsem Lal Kaith, Gopal Chand Sargotra, Arjun Kumar Tugga, Sunil Kumar Kaith, Tarsem Lal Sargotra,  Darshan Lal Lakhotra, Tarsem Lal Kaith, Jai Pal Motan and Rajesh Motan.
