Certificate Awarding Ceremony Of The Course On Human Rights And Values
Jammu, February 23, 2021: MIER College of Education (Autonomous) organized a function to award certificates for the Course on Human Rights and Values. The Chief Guest of the function was Dr. Renu Gupta, Chairperson MIER Group of Institution. Dr. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal MIER College of Education, Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Jt. Director MIER, Dr. Mool Raj Sharma, HoD PG Department, Dr. Rohnika Sharma, HoD UG Department along with the faculty and outgoing students of the programme attended the ceremony.
Mrs. Arpana Koul, Course Coordinator extended a warm welcome to the chief guest and the outgoing students and provided a brief introduction of the course.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Adit Gupta congratulated the students for taking up the course and successfully completing it despite of challenges due to pandemic. He further added that human rights concept is the idea that all people should be able to live with dignity and respect. Violations of human rights amount to the violation of humanity. Dr. Gupta said that through education human values such as love, universal brotherhood, mutual respect, etc. can be instilled in the students.
The students who had completed the course successfully were awarded certificates by the chief guest. The participants also shared their observations and experiences during the course. Later a group photograph was taken.
The programme was ably conducted by Ms. Anjeshri, and the Vote of Thanks was presented by Ms.Ridhi Suri, both students of the undergraduate department of education.
