Financial Literacy Camp Organized by India Post Payments Bank, Udhampur Branch
Udhampur, February 13, 2021: To promote the cause of Financial Literacy/inclusion, a Financial Literacy Camp (FLC) supported under FIF and managed by NABARD was conducted at Peoni Village of Majalta Block under Udhampur District.
Amit Sharma, Branch Manager, IPPB Udhampur, welcomed all the participants of the programme. He briefed the gathering about the different types of accounts that can be maintained in a bank/Post Office and also explained in detail about several benefits that can be availed by a customer having a bank account. He also explained the benefits of Digital Banking, Cashless Banking and motivated the public to make cashless banking a part of their life. He briefed the public about Door Step Banking/ Door Step Service for submission of digital life certificate through postman.
The IPPB is utilising its national network of more than one lakh 36 thousand access points in Post Offices and more than one lakh 89 thousand Postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks with smart phones and biometric devices to provide Doorstep Banking Services
Rakesh Singh Katal, Assistant Manager, IPPB Udhampur delivered an influential and inspiring speech on Financial Literacy and highlights the main motto and objectives of this camp to make aware the rural community. He also explained the benefits of Digital Banking, Cashless Banking and motivated the public to make cashless banking a part of their life
The camp was organized under the directions of Vijay Kumar Kataria, Superintendent of Post Offices, Udhampur Division and Supervision of Santosh Kumar, ASP HQ Udhampur Division.
