Jammu, January 23, 2021: Borderlines Pallanwalla won the only played match on the second day of the Jammu District Volleyball Premier League, organized by UT of J&K Sports Council in collaboration with Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir at Play Field, Shastri Nagar, here on Friday.
As many as two matches were scheduled for the day but bad weather caused by rain and poor visibility as also wet court did not allow the organizers to conduct the second match. The referees were of the unanimous opinion to postpone the matches for tomorrow.
Earlier, Borderlines Pallanwalla beat Trikuta Club Salehar by straight 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-16) sets.
Today’s match was officiated by the technical panel comprising Mulkh Raj, Ashaq Hussain and Imtiaz Ahmed.
The Jammu Premier League, which was declared open by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, is being held under the supervision of Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer JKSC.
Other prominent persons present were Dalbir Mehta, Manager Playfield, Shastri Nagar, Veena Kumari Inchrage Trikuta Volleyball Club, Inderpal Singh (weightlifting coach of JKSC) besides office bearers of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir Sport Council.
