Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch Organizes Special Interaction Session with NSD Topper Rahul K Lakhnotra
Rahul made his debut with the web series Aakhri Sach (Jio Cinema), followed by his notable role as Kamlesh (Manoj’s elder brother) in the acclaimed feature film 12th Fail, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. His other projects include Zero Se Restart (Amazon Prime) and the upcoming Delhi Crime – Season 3 (Netflix).
Jammu, August 06, 2025: A special Open Interaction Session was held on 5th August at Natraj Natya Kunj Studio, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, featuring renowned actor and National School of Drama (NSD) 2018 batch topper Rahul K Lakhnotra. The event was hosted by Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch and witnessed active participation from Jammu’s theatre community, including several local stage and television artists.
Rahul K Lakhnotra, a native of Jammu, began his theatre journey in 2007 and was awarded a theatre scholarship by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, for the years 2011–2013 under the mentorship of the late Mushtak Kak. In 2015, he joined NSD and graduated in 2018 as the topper of his batch. After graduation, he worked with the NSD Repertory Company as a Grade ‘A’ artist for four years, performing in numerous prestigious national and international theatre festivals.
In the film and OTT space, Rahul made his debut with the web series Aakhri Sach (Jio Cinema), followed by his notable role as Kamlesh (Manoj’s elder brother) in the acclaimed feature film 12th Fail, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. His other projects include Zero Se Restart (Amazon Prime) and the upcoming Delhi Crime – Season 3 (Netflix). He is currently based in Mumbai, working as a professional actor and acting coach, and runs his own acting institute, Zero Studios.
The session covered a wide range of vital topics, including NSD entrance preparation, the difference between theatre and film acting techniques, the daily discipline of an actor, self-training methods, and the complete journey from rehearsal to performance.
Marked by honest sharing and insightful discussion, the interaction served as a source of inspiration for young and aspiring artists. Rahul emphasized the importance of consistent self-work, emotional honesty, and technical clarity in the craft of acting. The session concluded with a lively Q&A segment, where participants engaged directly with the guest, asking questions about training, performance, and career-building.
The presence of Jammu’s theatre and television artists added depth to the event and reflected the city’s strong and evolving cultural landscape. Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch reiterated its commitment to creating such platforms for dialogue, learning, and artistic exchange.
Speaking on the occasion, Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch President Mohit Singh Chib stated that the group will continue to organize such interaction sessions in Jammu in the future, aiming to uplift and empower local talent in the performing arts.
