Kakroo Calls for Harmony, Requests LG to Provide Essential Services During Muharram

Srinagar, July 07, 2024: Senior BJP leader Javid Kakroo has extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the Shia community, on the commencement of the holy month of Muharram.

In a message released today, Kakroo expressed his heartfelt wishes for a peaceful and meaningful Muharram for all. “This is a time of deep reflection, remembrance, and spiritual devotion for the Shia community,” Kakroo stated. “I pray that this month brings solace, peace, and spiritual upliftment to everyone observing this holy period.”

Kakroo emphasized the importance of upholding communal harmony and peace during Muharram, urging all communities to show respect and sensitivity towards those observing the period of mourning. “Let us all work together to ensure that this month passes off peacefully and respectfully for everyone in our society,” he said.

Highlighting the need for smooth observance of the religious period, Kakroo also appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to ensure the uninterrupted availability of essential services, particularly electricity, water, and other necessities for the Shia community.

“It is essential that the government takes proactive steps to ensure that the Shia community has access to all necessary resources during this important time,” Kakroo stressed. “This will allow them to observe their rituals and traditions without any undue hardship or inconvenience.”

His message underscores the importance of inclusivity and ensuring the well-being of all communities in Jammu and Kashmir, especially during significant religious periods. Kakroo’s call for peace and smooth observance of Muharram reflects a commitment to fostering harmony and understanding in the region.
